For an inspirational and thought-provoking read, we have The Malachite Palace, originally written in Spanish by Alma Flor Ada and illustrated by Leonid Gore. Ada uses the heightened setting of the eponymous stronghold as the backdrop for a realistic meditation on loneliness and freedom. Gore’s art captures both the imposing opulence of the palace and the subtleties of emotion within its walls in jewel-toned chiaroscuro. #leonidgore #almaflorada #bird #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
