I invite you to bask in the vibrant landscape of @brianwildsmithofficial’s Blue Bird, based on designs for the 1976 film adaptation of a play by Belgian poet Maurice Maeterlinck. Sister and brother Myltyl and Tyltyl accept a fairy’s quest to seek the mystical Blue Bird. After befriending the souls of Water, Milk, Sugar, Bread, Fire, Cat, and Dog, the children journey to the Land of Memory, the Palace of Night, the Palace of Luxuries, and the Palace of the Future. Wildsmith’s geometric compositions and eye-popping colors infuse Maeterlinck’s story with a luminous whimsy. #brianwildsmith #mauricemaeterlinck #bluebird #thebluebird #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
