Continuing with the Puss in Boots sequence, we have @jerrypinkneystudio’s of graceful interpretation of the tale. The young man (here called Benjamin) receives the alias “Count Carabas” from his feline patron, while a garishly robed sorcerer serves as the antagonist at the story’s climax. The artful, richly textured illustrations in graphite, colored pencil, and watercolor isolate key moments in the action, ably conveying each story beat with demonstrative poses and body language. A wealth of period detail evinces painstaking research on the style and architecture of early modern France. #cat #boots #fairytale #folklore #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
