An elusive and engaging puzzle is Museum Trip, a wordless adventure by Barbara Lehman. Separated from his school group on a field trip to the museum, a boy notices a secret door, behind which lies a case displaying a collection of drawn mazes. As he peers at one of the images, he suddenly finds himself shrunk to a few inches tall, able to explore the labyrinthine twists and turns on foot. Lehman employs a modern style with clean lines and block colors in her gouache, watercolor, and ink images, shifting to a faded, diagrammatic appearance for the antique maze drawings. Though the reader only receives a glimpse of the secret at the heart of the final maze, a subtle visual clue on the last page suggests that the boy is not the first to unravel this miniature mystery. #museum #trip #fieldtrip #mystery #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
