The spellbinding song of Pied Piper Week is fading fast. Before it vanishes forever, let’s get lost in one last entry, shall we? This is a version retold by Sara and Stephen Corrin and illustrated by Errol Le Cain, steeped in air of antique mystery. The Corrins interpolate details from both the Grimms and Robert Browning, producing a text replete with enchanting narrative and dialogue. Le Cain’s sepia-tinted images of the gnarled, crooked streets and buildings accords the face of Hamelin town an eerie touch of menace. #piper #rat #rats #child #children #german #germany #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
