When you were a child, did you believe with all your heart that you could go anywhere? That marvelous sights awaited you in parts unknown? That your destiny lay off the edge of the map? If so, The Greatest Adventure by @tony.piedra might be just the book for you. Eliot loves nothing more than to undertake grand journeys in the world of pretend. One day, his grandfather, El Capitán, comes to visit and entertains him with stories of his time on the high seas. Eliot is enthralled. He wants desperately to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps, but El Capitán’s boat has sadly fallen into disrepair. Though they cannot make their way out to the ocean, they prepare the old vessel as best they can and embark on a grand voyage of the imagination. With an understated text and delicate art in a combination of digital and handmade textures, Piedra celebrates a world of fantasy built on the foundation of a loving relationship between grandfather and grandson. #greatest #adventure #grandfather #grandson #family #imagination #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
