Are you searching for a gentle hymn that celebrates the rhythms of nature and humanity? Check out If I Had a Little Dream by @nina.laden and @melissa.castrillon. A young girl muses about the names she would give to various imaginary items, including her own special land, house, garden, pond, boat, bicycle, table, chair, dog, cat, brother, sister, book, bed, and dream. She pictures herself moving across a wondrous landscape, ending in the warmth and safety of a loving embrace. Laden’s lyrical text mines gorgeous imagery from the effortlessly poetic perspective of a child discovering and falling in love with the world around her. Castrillon’s digitally colored pencil illustrations feature a welcoming array of lush, vibrant tableaux in bright reds, blues, and browns. #little #dream #child #world #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
