Today is Thursday, and I’m reading something ever so weird and wonderful. In Bright and Early Thursday Evening, married collaborators @audreywoodauthor and Don Wood plunge us into a rich domain of verbal and visual nonsense. The book meanders its way through a waking dream replete with bizarre spectacles and impossible tableaux. Audrey Wood’s irreverent verse traffics in contradictions such as, “The joyful guests were weeping,” “We all sat down to dance,” and “I laughed in remorse.” Don Wood’s art leverages technology to great effect, crafting digital rendered photographic collages with flamboyant colors and textures. #bright #early #thursday #evening #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
