Onward we go through Tam Lin Week, and our adaptation today comes from Rosalind Kerven and Alan Marks. Here, the wild girl Janna wanders into the mysterious wood on her father’s land. Tam Lin appears to her as a strange man with eyes of misty grey. He enlists her help to rescue him on Hallowe’en from the powerful clutches of the Fairy Queen. Janna must cling to Tam Lin as he is turned into a writhing snake, a roaring lion, and a burning bar of metal. Kerven crafts a pleasing, adventurous text, while Marks contributes dramatic illustrations with wispy, elongated forms. #fairy #fairies #love #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
