The book of the day is Barbara Helen Berger’s Thunder Bunny. A little rabbit with blue fur stands out from the rest of her family. After her grandmother tells her she came “out of the blue”, she becomes convinced that her origin lies somewhere in the sky. One windy day, she jumps into the air and rides a strong breeze high up to the clouds. Soon, a storm breaks out, drenching the land in torrents of rain. When the young rabbit returns to her family, she has gained a vibrant sunburst marking on the sky blue of her chest. With eloquent, poetic phrasing and mixed-media collages of pastel and acrylic on torn paper, Berger creates an original story with a contemplative and cosmic spirit. #thunder #bunny #rabbit #rabbits #blue #sky #sun #moon #clouds #wind #lightning #storm #book #books #childrensbooks #picturebook #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
