@diannewrites and Beth Krommes invite you to immerse yourself in the sensory impressions of a stormy day with their appealing collaboration Blue on Blue. On a little farm at the water’s edge, clouds begin to gather. The sky darkens, heavy rains pour, lightning flashes, thunder crashes, and all run for cover. Eventually, the storm is done and all returns to the way it was. The sun shines again, but only briefly, as dusk soon falls over the land and night creeps in. White uses rhyme, repetition, and word painting to assemble a lyrical poetic text, and Krommes contributes her signature glowing scratchboard-and-watercolor art. #blue #farm #rain #lightning #thunder #storm #thunderstorm #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
