George Ella Lyon and Stephen Gammell combine their talents to produce a work of otherworldly beauty: My Friend the Starfinder. A woman relates the story of a long-ago acquaintance, an old man she knew when she was a young girl. She passes along stories he shared with her about his own youth, wondrous tall tales of chasing down fallen stars and melding with the colors of the rainbow. Lyon’s spare, fanciful text is well met by Gammell’s signature undulating snaggles and kinetic splatters. #star #stars #friend #friends #friendship #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
