The book of the day is Shadow by @christopher.lucy and @chaosego. A young girl moves to a new house. There, she discovers Shadow, a friend who plays with her to her heart’s content. Her mother all too often seems to be distracted, overworked, exhausted, and she cannot see the mysterious being. Out in the woods, the girl is abandoned by Shadow, whose mercurial nature turns slightly eerie in the dark. However, her mother comes looking for her and brings her home. From then on, their lives grow brighter and more connected. Christopher’s subtle, introspective writing and Suvorova’s richly textured digital art combine for an intriguing meditation on loneliness, change, and understanding. #shadow #mother #daughter #forest #woods #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
