In need of a heartwarming adventure with a dash of magic? Well, I have just the thing: Laura Krauss Melmed and Jim LaMarche’s The Rainbabies. An elderly couple discover to their astonishment that a mystical moonshower has left behind a dozen miraculous babies, each contained in a drop of dew on the meadow grass. Together, the husband and wife must protect their minuscule charges from a host of natural disasters until the infants’ provenance is revealed and all is set right. Melmed delivers the story in graceful and expressive language, while LaMarche’s inviting illustrations place equal emphasis on the spectacle of supernatural phenomena and the tenderness of human emotion. #jimlamarche #laurakraussmelmed #rainbabies #rain #babies #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
