If you’re in the mood for a dazzling blend of science and art, why not read Thomas Locker and Candace Christiansen’s Sky Tree? This book invites us to slow down and consider the everyday wonders of the progression of time in nature. Every page presents the exact same view of a single tree, but all at different times of day and night, during different seasons of the year. Married collaborators Locker and Christiansen display an elegant symbiosis: he, a fine artist, supplies the story of the tree’s experience and the arresting oil paintings, while she, a science teacher, contributes a thought-provoking open-ended question to accompany each page of the story and an informational answer for each question at the back of the book. #thomaslocker #skytree #sky #tree #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
