I’ve got a curious little volume to share: What the Wind Told, written by Betty Boegehold and illustrated by Emanuel Schongut. A young girl, sick in bed and stricken with boredom, asks the Wind (represented anthropomorphically) to tell her stories about the six windows she can see across from her house. The book is split into short chapters, each comprising one of the wind’s stories: the Old Woman’s Window, the Five Plant Window, the Dirters’ Window, the Old Dog’s Window, the Scary Window, and the Empty Window. Schongut captures Boegehold’s fanciful and faintly peculiar vignettes in appealingly bright colors and motley patterns. #emanuelschongut #bettyboegehold #wind #window #windows #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
