Check out Noah’s Cats and the Devil’s Fire, Arielle North Olson and Barry Moser’s adaptation of a Romanian folktale set during the biblical story of the flood. After a humiliating rebuff on the gangplank, the devil sneaks aboard the newly built ark disguised as a particularly wicked-looking mouse. When the malevolent fiend enacts a cunning plan to sink the sturdy vessel, it’s up to Noah’s trusty cats to thwart him once and for all. Moser’s color palette brings his spirited retelling dramatically to life, with obnubilated skies shown in deep greenish black and the various embodiments of the devil marked by lurid browns and reds. #barrymoser #noah #cats #devil #fire #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
