Have you ever wondered where cats go at night? That’s the central question of It’s a Secret by John Burningham. As the title indicates, not everyone is entitled to this closely guarded knowledge. When young Marie Elaine discovers her cat Malcolm all dressed up in fancy clothes one evening, she follows him out on an adventure past a rough-and-tumble gang of dogs, across the city rooftops, to a midnight feast with the Queen of the Cats. Burningham’s mixed-media illustrations add an appropriately zany touch to his matter-of-fact writing style. #johnburningham #itsasecret #cat #cats #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
