If it’s a moving parable of inspiration and artistic integrity you’re after, why not try Donald Carrick’s Morgan and the Artist? Frederic, a painter unable to truly express himself through his work, begins adding an odd little man into his landscapes, and names this recurring character Morgan. Frederic is soon shocked to find that his creation has a mind of his own. Morgan comes to life, and the ups and downs of their relationship serve as an allegory for the conversation (and conflict) between an artist’s conscious self and inner muse. Carrick imbues his tale with deep insight into the creative process, and his bright watercolor illustrations do true justice to his protagonist’s oeuvre. #donaldcarrick #artist #landscape #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
