Take a gander at Possum Magic by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas, a merry fantasy tale set in the Land Down Under. Hush, a young possum who lives in the bush, spends her days reveling in the invisibility conferred on her by the mystical Grandma Poss. When the ingredient necessary to reverse the spell is forgotten, the two must trek all across Australia, sampling local specialties until they can find just the right dish to render Hush visible once more. Fox crafts a world of magic and winning charm, and includes a map to the Australian geography of the possums’ quest. Vivas’s characters dance and sway with irresistibly expressive body language, framed against a white background with soft washes of pale color. #julievivas #memfox #possummagic #possum #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
