And now for something deeply strange and deeply special: The Grey Lady and the Strawberry Snatcher by Molly Bang, a wordless exercise in pure suspense. A woman buys a basket of strawberries at the market and sets off for home, but soon finds herself pursued by...well, a being that can only be described as a Strawberry Snatcher. The chase moves out of town as the Grey Lady flees by bus, wades through a lonely swamp, climbs an enormous tree, swings on a hanging vine, and finally disappears into an unearthly void, all with the Strawberry Snatcher hot on her heels. Bang’s thrilling art heightens each beat of action, injecting the story with the thrill of intrigue, the menace of the unknown, and the sweet relief of family’s embrace. #mollybang #greylady #thegreylady #strawberry #strawberries #snatcher #wordless #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
