I’m awestruck by Ori Sherman and Stephen Mitchell’s The Creation, a hypnotically beautiful adaptation of the first chapter of Bereshit (also known as the Book of Genesis). Mitchell brings an elegant simplicity to his translation of the Biblical Hebrew, while Sherman’s paintings swirl and pulsate with glowing energy, emphasizing the supernatural wonder of the story. From their union springs a rapturous celebration of biblical scripture as myth, as poetry, as art. #thecreation #creation #thebible #bible #biblical #genesis #bereshit #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
