Let’s take a little journey down to the realm of enchantment and danger, where candles flicker behind darkened windowpanes and fog drifts in among the shadows. This is where you’ll find Stephen E. Cosgrove and @carolheyer’s The Dream Stealer. Something sinister is troubling the peaceful village of Chimera. Every night, the children’s sleep is disturbed by a masked gnome who extracts the happy dreams from their minds and replaces them with nightmares. Bartholomew, the affable town librarian, sets off with young siblings Michael and Gabby McDool to seek out the thief's lair in an eerie swamp and return the dreams to their rightful owners. Cosgrove’s scenario crackles with fantasy and excitement, and he sprinkles his dialogue with humor and heart. Heyer’s illustrations give us a land of alluring mystery, all darkness and rainbows and flickering flames. #dream #dreams #night #nightmare #sleep #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
