Sometimes a premise is fueled by the conflict between two characters so diametrically opposed that you can’t believe no one hit upon it sooner. Perfect by @max_amato_ gives us an eraser whose maintenance of a pristine white sheet of paper is thwarted by the antics of a mischievous pencil. Not content with simply taunting the eraser, the pencil soon gains the upper hand by turning the backdrop itself into a forest of graphite. However, the eraser learns to embrace imperfection, creating lines and images of its own by clearing paths of white through the gray, and a lasting peace is achieved. Pairing the eraser’s first-person dialogue with illustrations that combine photography and digital techniques, Amato revels in the elemental simplicity of his zany scenario. #perfect #eraser #pencil #paper #draw #drawing #drawings #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
