If you’d like a luminous cosmic adventure, I submit for your perusal Dean Morrissey’s The Great Kettles: A Tale of Time. This sequel to Morrissey’s earlier title Ship of Dreams continues the story of young Joey, who discovers the remnants of a time machine in his new house and crosses a mysterious barrier into a realm of metaphysical marvels. Guided by Father Time himself, he sets out across the Great Kettles, an extraordinary archipelago where dwell the keepers of Earth, Sun, Moon, and Stars, in an effort to return to the moment of his departure from home. With elegant prose and a series of richly detailed oil paintings, Morrissey expands the cosmology of his science-fantasy universe to include The Man in the Moon, the Keeper of the Light, Mother Nature, and a return visit from Joey’s guide on his previous excursion—the Sandman. #time #machine #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
