I’m smiling as I turn the pages of How to Be a Cat, a gentle observation of the friendship between two feline companions by @nikkimcclure. Each page contains a single word paired with a corresponding vignette in the daily exploits of two cohabiting cats. In an author’s note, McClure relates her inspiration for this work: her experience caring for a blind cat living in her new home when she purchased it (depicted in her stylized cut-paper illustrations without eyes). #cat #cats #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookcover #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
