There’s a quiet celebration of joy and wonder in @1liziboyd’s Inside Outside. This wordless book follows a child’s daily routine over the course of an entire year. The two-page spreads alternate between indoor and outdoor views, with elements of both environments changing as the months go by. Though many readers might wonder about the protagonist’s family, Boyd omits them, focusing her gouache-on-kraft-paper art instead on the beauty of small childhood moments carried out independently. Only a faithful dog joins in such activities as planting a garden in spring, sailing toy boats in summer, raking leaves in autumn, and sledding in winter. #inside #outside #book #books #childrensbooks #fairytalebook #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
