As we waltz through Twelve Dancing Princesses Week, let us examine this grand version by Janet Lunn and László Gál. Lunn reworks the narrative slightly, beginning from the point of view of the young man who sets out for the castle of the twelve princesses and introducing the mystery of the worn-out dancing shoes as backstory along the way. The iridescent colors and imaginative compositions of Gál’s art bring a theatrically expressive quality to the story’s visual landscape. #dancing #princesses #mystery #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
