It takes one special gift to restore another in @guridi___’s Once Upon a Time. Bard is known for his deep love of words. The people of his village take delight in bringing him exciting nouns and adjectives and listening to the stories he spins from them. One day, however, Bard unexpectedly stops speaking. All around are quiet dismayed, but Ballad the musician succeeds in breaking Bard’s inexplicable silence with the sweet strains of his cello. Originally published in Spanish as “Érase”, Guridi’s original tale features simple, appealing language and cheerful sketch-style drawings in monochromatic blue and white. #word #words #story #stories #silence #music #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
