The book of the day is The Miami Giant by Arthur Yorinks and Maurice Sendak. Giuseppe Giaweeni, attempting to chart a passage from Italy to China, finds himself in Florida where he encounters a lost tribe of dancing giants: the Mishbookers of Miami. He convinces one of the giants, Joe, to accompany him to Europe and appear on stage. The Parisian audience, however, erupts in a panic and attacks Joe, who flees and returns home to be with the other giants. Yorinks creates a narrative of high silliness, heightened by the frenetic energy of Sendak’s inimitable art style. #miami #giant #giants #italy #florida #paris #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
