Cinderella Week Two continues, and today I have a wonderfully offbeat version by the inimitable @crgstudios. The characters and objects are edged with heavy black lines that twist and curl with a pulsating energy. Cinderella’s home is marked by a pastel color palette of lavender, yellow, pink, and cyan—interrupted by a distinctive blood red for moments of wealth, power, and magic. Note the grotesque design of the stepmother and stepsister with exaggeratedly scrawny vulture necks. #cinderella #fairy #godmother #fairygodmother #glass #prince #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
