Today I’ve enjoyed flipping through @edouardmanceau’s Windblown—perhaps you will as well! Onto the expanse of a blank page, shapes waft in out of nowhere and assemble themselves in a variety of positions. These figures, rearranged and augmented with thick black line drawings, reveal a pack of animal characters: a chicken on the ground, a fish underwater, a bird flying in the sky, a slowly creeping snail, a crouching frog. With playful humor, Manceau demonstrates the versatility and complexity a creative thinker can mine from just a few simple elements. #wind #shape #shapes #animal #animals #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
