Here is a look at Gulliver’s Adventures in Lilliput, adapted by Ann Keay Beneduce from Jonathan Swift’s classic novel Gulliver’s Travels and illustrated by Gennady Spirin. Dr. Lemuel Gulliver sets sail for a voyage to the East Indies, but his ship is wrecked along the way and he finds himself at the mercy of a race of tiny humans in the strange land of Lilliput. Beneduce takes care to preserve the language and flavor of Swift’s original text, while Spirin honors the story by foregrounding the splendor and spectacle of the fantasy setting. #explore #world #miniature #fantasy #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
