For a thoroughly spooky experience, have a look at The Buried Moon by Amanda Walsh. The Moon descends to Earth in human form to investigate the Marshlands, a treacherous swamp home to the Hidden Folk—Bogles, Dead Things, Night Demons, and other Horrors. The wicked beings ensnare the Moon and submerge her in the slimy bog. Fortunately, the local villagers, guided by a Wise Old Woman, successfully navigate the Marshlands and set the Moon free once more. Walsh conjures this eerie tale with dramatic text and detailed art dominated by inky black and pale blue. #moon #night #dark #light #swamp #evil #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
