Martin Waddell and Barbara Firth craft a tender portrait of bedtime rituals in Can’t You Sleep, Little Bear? Night has fallen. Two bears, one big (appropriately named Big Bear) and one little (appropriately named Little Bear) are warm and snug in their cave. Little Bear, however, is afraid of the dark and cannot fall asleep. Big Bear provides lanterns—first a tiny one, then a bigger one, and then the Biggest Lantern of Them All, but to no avail. At last, the moon itself serves as the lantern to drive away Little Bear’s fears once and for all. Waddell’s gentle text and Firth’s soothing illustrations combine for a truly relaxing read. #sleep #little #bear #big #bears #bed #bedtime #dark #moon #night #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
