Delving ever deeper into the Theme Week of Aladdin, we have Aladdin & the Magic Lamp, illustrated by John Patience. The genies of the ring and lamp sport fangs and horns, resembling large, benevolent demons. The bright colors of the thick-lined drawings enhance the straightforward, enjoyable text. A note for folklore enthusiasts: In his visual stylistic choices, Patience acknowledges the tale’s nominal setting in China. #aladdin #magician #cave #ring #lamp #princess #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
