The marvelous treasures of Aladdin Week continue to unfold. Here is Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp, a version of the story with illustrations by Rene Cloke, this one also set explicitly in China. Notably, the traditional ending in which the princess tricks the wicked magician into drinking poison is softened here—Aladdin simply lifts the lamp from his sleeping body. #aladdin #magician #cave #ring #lamp #princess #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
