Imagine yourself in a perfect place, where you can look at the world in just the way you want to. In her delicate and pensive The Museum of Everything, @lynneraeperkins explores just such a marvelous landscape. A young boy makes sense of life by considering things one at a time or in discrete sets, mentally viewing them in unique “museums” of the mind. He creates a Museum of Things I Wonder About, a Museum of Islands, a Museum of Bushes, a Museum of Hiding Places, a Museum of Shadows, and a Sky Museum. He even creates a Museum of Little Things, right on his very own windowsill. To accompany her delightful text, Perkins creates illustrations through photographs of a variety of media, including watercolor, sand, stone, twigs, wood, moss, wool, foamcore board, fabric, embroidery thread, modeling clay, and light. #museum #everything #little #things #littlethings #thing #imagine #imagination #mind #world #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
