Robin Muller crafts a tale of high drama and enchantment in The Sorcerer’s apprentice. Read on and you’ll encounter dark forests, royal intrigue, and tomes of the most eldritch lore. An orphan named Robin sets out to make his way in the world. When a mysterious man indicates he will only employ someone who can neither read nor write, the youth pretends to be illiterate. His new master soon turns out to be a wicked sorcerer and brother to the king, with designs on the throne of the kingdom. After the court turns down his offer to succeed his late brother as monarch, the magician begins concocting a foul spell of dark nightmares to take revenge. Robin must study the man’s evil grimoires in secret in order to stop his master’s diabolical plan once and for all. With a powerful voice and dramatic illustrations, Muller creates a bold original tale shot through with folkloric motifs and imagery. #apprentice #spell #spells #nightmare #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
