Halloween has come again: the night when all things wild and fantastic become tantalizingly real. As we wander over darkened paths, jack-o’-lanterns grin eerily out of the gloom. For this night of fearsome nights I have for you Adrienne Adams’ A Halloween Happening. In this spiritual sequel to A Woggle of Witches, the merry coven decides to invite children to their annual celebration of All Hallows’ Eve. They construct an enormous tower of pumpkins around a leafless tree and welcome in a host of costumed children. After a long climb to the top, witches and children soar together through the sky on majestic bat-winged gliders. Told almost entirely through dialogue and illustrated with a rich, autumnal palette, this book is a Halloween celebration not to be forgotten. #halloween #witch #witches #pumpkin #pumpkins #tower #fly #flying #trickortreat #book #books #childrensbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
