Rosemary Wells conjures up an eerie tale of nocturnal shenanigans and bad habits in her whimsically weird Fritz and the Mess Fairy. The story opens one evening in a quiet family home. Fritz, a young skunk, manages to alienate every member of his family with his slovenly habits. Dejected, he goes to bed alone. However, in the middle of the night, his aborted science experiment produces an unexpected chemical reaction, summoning the Mess Fairy—a sinister pig that thrives on clutter and chaos. The uncanny sprite proceeds to throw the entire house into disarray before Fritz can banish her to parts unknown. He quickly vows to mend his ways and clean up after himself from then on…but has he truly learned his lesson? With a wry text and energetic illustrations, Wells creates a unique original story. #mess #fairy #family #experiment #dirty #clean #magic #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
