As we gaze at the mysteries of our own reflections, let us add another title to this Sequence of Seven Snow Whites with a version by Jennifer Greenway and Erin Augenstine. The gentle text is complemented well by the emotive illustrations. In particular, the spirit of the queen’s looking glass is given a remarkable degree of visual characterization for the brevity of its appearance. Carved into the mirror frame itself, it leers downward with a wicked grin. Its horns, bat wings, and forked tongue lend it the air of a witch’s impish familiar. #snow #white #snowwhite #queen #mirror #poison #apple #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
