Where do you go when your everyday life is tied to one place but your heart is leading somewhere else altogether? Here is the conclusion to a gentle and heartfelt wordless trilogy by @marlafrazee: The Farmer and the Circus. The story serves as a sequel to both The Farmer and the Clown and The Farmer and the Monkey. The young child, having returned to his circus family, rejects clownish attire and dons a pair of black overalls, much like his beloved farmer. The monkey returns from the farm, and the two develop a delightful juggling act. Later, the circus starts putting down stakes. When the farmer arrives to see the show, the young clown and the monkey are overjoyed to see him. They perform their act for him and the clown’s mother, and the charmed adults begin to fall in love. Eventually, all four leave the circus and move into the farmhouse together, a loving found family unit.
