In an unprecedented move, I am launching from one fairy tale theme straight into another—that’s right, back-to-back Theme Weeks! This time, it’s a second round of Rumpelstiltskin. Let’s begin with a lively adaptation by Helen Creswell and Stephen Player. The characters display an appealing range of emotion on their faces, but none so much as the title character. Player’s Rumpelstiltskin is a leering, salacious gnome with bulging eyes, gleaming white teeth, and a disturbingly large nose. #spin #spinning #wheel #gold #queen #baby #name #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
