Let married co-creators @laurenmillsart and Dennis Nolan beckon you into a world of gossamer magic in their book Fairy Wings. Fia the fairy is a laughingstock among her sisters, for she was born without wings. One day she meets a fairy boy named Kip and mends his torn wing; he in turn invites her to the May Dance, where all the eligible young fairy girls will be competing for the affections of Prince Hyacinth. Fia’s sisters cruelly mock her and nearly succeed at convincing her to stay home. At the dance, it turns out that Prince Hyacinth and Kip are one and the same. However, disaster soon strikes: a wicked troll kidnaps all the fairies but Fia, plotting to steal their wings for himself. With the help of her devoted friends Rat, Frog, and Crow, the wingless fairy rescues her people and turns the greedy troll to stone. The delightful text by Mills offers enchantment and suspense, while the wondrous graphite and watercolor art, a collaboration between Mills and Nolan, unlocks an irresistible fantasy realm. #fairy #wings #fairies #wing #rat #frog #crow #troll #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbooks #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
