Here’s another childhood favorite of mine, this one quite well known: Rumpelstiltskin, retold and illustrated by the inordinately talented @paulozelinsky. A Caldecott honor book, this one was rightly celebrated upon its release for the rich detail and sheer grandeur of its art. For me, here is the definitive adaptation of the Grimms’ tale; whenever I tell Rumpelstiltskin aloud and affect the voice of the title character, it’s Zelinsky’s wildly expressive little imp with his bug eyes and razor-sharp nose who saunters irreverently into my mind and helps me get into character. #paulzelinsky #paulozelinsky #rumpelstiltskin #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
