This is A Weave of Words, an Armenian folktale retold by Robert D. San Souci and illustrated by @raul.colon.7140. San Souci creates an admirable hero and heroine who forge a touching bond based on knowledge and mutual respect. The iconic image here is certainly the dev, a monster found throughout the folk tradition of Armenia and other Middle Eastern nations. Colón renders this one with three heads, glowing eyes, and demonically sharp teeth—a memorable sight, to be sure. #robertdsansouci #raulcolon #book #books #childrensbooks #fairytalebook #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
