An excellent adaptation of a Greek myth into a modern picture book is @kriswaldherr’s Persephone and the Pomegranate. Notably, Waldherr applies pastel dust to her oil paintings, thereby achieving a richness of contrast and texture in her depiction of elements both natural and supernatural in the ancient world. #kriswaldherr #greek #greekmyth #greekmythology #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
