Here’s a little something for you: Albidaro and the Mischievous Dream, by Julius Lester and @jerrypinkneystudio. Nimbly leaping from the sublime to the ridiculous and back again, the story takes a look at a pair of celestial siblings and the increasingly strange effects of their power over Earth’s children and animals. Lester revels in the playful possibilities of his offbeat scenario, inventing words and exaggerating spellings with evident glee. Pinkney, through his lively, dappled gouache and watercolor paintings, finds humor in the fantasy and magic in the comedy. #jerrypinkney #juliuslester #dream #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
