The book of the day is Tom Thumb by Richard Jesse Watson. In this adaptation of a well-known fairy tale, a child is born the size of a thumb and a series of delightful adventures begins. Tom must keep his wits about him as he navigates a perilously oversized world of teacups and mousetraps, ravens and fish, giants and kings. Watson retells the story with charm and good humor to spare; his impressively detailed paintings, a mix of egg tempera and watercolor, draw the reader’s eye into every nook and cranny of Tom’s miniature landscape. #richardjessewatson #tomthumb #fairytale #book #books #childrensbooks #beautifulbook #beautifulbooks #beautifulbookcover #beautifulbookcovers #picturebook #picturebooks #picturebookillustration #picturebookillustrations #picturebookart #classicchildrensbooks #childrensbookillustration #childrensliterature #illustration #kidlit #kidsbooks #bookworm #booklover #booklovers #bibliophile #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagrammers #instabook #instabooks
